The online TV and movie database, Hulu, is going to start bringing its online viewers original TV series starting this summer.

Funny man Kevin Smith will host a show called Spoilers, which will be a movie review show that will feature group chats and interviews with movie stars. This show will premier on June 4.

Up To Speed is a travel guide show that follows Timothy “Speed” Levitch as visits some of America’s lesser known monuments and tourist spots.

We Got Next is a half-hour show about a random group of four guys who are all part of a pick-up basketball team and who become friends even though they don’t have much in common. Co-creator, Kenya Barris said,

This is a show built around what guys do when it’s just the guys. It’s as raw and honest as it is ridiculous and raunchy. That’s the comedy of real life. I’m excited to bring this show to Hulu.

We Got Next will air in August.

Rev, which will begin on June 3, is about Reverend Adam Smallbone who moves from a  small parish in the country to a big inner-city church in East London and he’s faced with how to deal with his inner-city parishioners. This show, which was aired on BBC Two in the U.K., has already won several awards including BAFTA’s “Best Sitcom.”

The Yard, which will begin on June 7, is about two rival elementary school-aged groups. This show was original aired on HBO Canada and is supposedly very funny and is likened to the humor of South Park.

Darren Brown: Inside Your Mind, which will air on July 7, revolves around Darren, who is a performer who implements magic and psychology to perform very tantalizing stunts for the viewers.

The Booth at the End,  which will air in July, is about a man who has the power to grant people’s wishes in exchange for their performance of a strange task. This show is considered a psychological thriller.

Pramface will begin on July 19 and is about two teenagers who hook up at a party and later find out that they are pregnant and follows the couple as they get to know each other and learn to deal with the impending baby.

The Promise,  which will premier on August 11, is a show that follows a grandfather, during WWII area and his granddaughter in present times in the context of the the events that occurred while the Middle East was under British rule nearly sixty years ago and in the present day.

Little Mosque is a comedy about a small Muslim community that converts a local parish into a mosque.

Former CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star, Gary Dourdan is a frequent member of the Hollywood bad boys club because at least a couple times a year, we’re discussing his latest criminal mischievousness.

Back in December, we were discussing how Gary was slapped with a three-year restraining order against his ex-girlfriend for domestic violence. Now Dourdan has a bench warrant out for his arrest because he miscalendared, or forgot, or didn’t care to attend a mandatory court hearing today for his domestic violence case (the one that landed him the three-year restraining order).

Dourdan’s stand-in attorney (the attorney-of-record was busy attending his son’s graduation from Columbia Law School) told the Judge that Dourdan couldn’t make a flight from Morocco in time for the morning hearing; however he should be able to make it to court in the afternoon. The Judge gave him until 2:30 to make his appearance and, luckily for Gary, he was able to make it.

Dourdan’s next hearing date is June 7. Maybe he can plan a little ahead and get into the area a day or two ahead of time to ensure that he makes it in time.

Lady Gaga was scheduled to perform tonight in Manila, Philippines; however it’s being reported that she is being met with a stiff opposition from a Christian group of Philippians, who are not too thrilled by Gaga’s viewpoint of Jesus and God in her songs. Reuben Abanta, who is a bishop of a Baptist Church in Manila and who is running the protests, said:

This protest is not against Lady Gaga as a person but on her music and on how she declares distorted views about the Lord Jesus Christ.

We are Christian Filipinos. She comes to our land. For us, this is something that should not be shown to the youth we have.

The group is offended by some of Gaga’s lyrics in her song “Judas,” which has also caught a little flack in the U.S. from some religious groups.

Unfortunately for Gaga, who should be surrounded by love and praise all the time, and been faced with a lot of opposition throughout the Asian-leg of her tour, which is mostly attributed to religious groups that don’t think that her music is appropriate for their youth.

Okay, so here’s my conundrum.  I don’t like James Bond films.  But I like Daniel Craig.  So his taking over as James Bond has caused me quite the dilemma for the past few years because I even though I find him so uglysexy, I just can’t get into 007.

But, since I know The Boyfriend is going to drag me to see this, at least I can appreciate Daniel Craig and Ralph-used-to-be-Fiiine will also be in the film, and I enjoy him, as well.

Either way, here’s the first official teaser trailer for the next Bond film, Skyfall. If you’re a 007 junkie, you’ll be creaming your pants.  If you’re me, you’re throwing a side-eye at November now.

I’m gonna set the mood for this post by putting Stars are Blind on repeat and referring to Lindsay Lohan as Firecrotch,.  According to The Daily Mail, Paris and Firecrotch, along with oily oil heir Brandon Davis, partied like it was 2006 this weekend in Los Angeles.  The trio were at a Hollywood Hills house party on Friday night/Saturday morning when neighbors called the cops for a noise complaint.  Paris, Firecrotch and Oily Davis eventually left the party at 7am.

Paris was spotted leaving the property wearing dark sunglasses and a cap along with her friend, oil heir Brandon Davis.

Lindsay is understood to have made an undercover exit, hiding under a towel in the back seat of a friend’s car.

Lindsay and Paris are clearly on good terms again after a spectacular feud dating back to 2006, when the hotel heiress and Brandon crudely nicknamed her Firecrotch.

Paris is 31, Firecrotch is 25 (though she looks 40) and who cares how old Oily Davis is because he ages like a fine douche.  I wouldn’t even really knock a 25 year old partying until 7am – expect when it’s Firecrotch, and we all know she’s never met a line she didn’t snort or a shot she didn’t gargle. Add in the  fact that I have no doubt that Paris and Firecrotch will be doing the same shit 15 years from now when they’re permanently on the D-List and their skin has completed the transformation from dermis to leather.

Tay-Tay took home Billboard’s “Woman of the Year”

Last night was the suckfest known as the Billboard Music Awards, which is really nothing more but an “adult” version of Nickelodeon’s Teen Choice Awards.  But let’s be honest:  it’s not really for grown ups, and it’s ten times more annoying because it’s supposed to be some type of award that matters.  Kind of.

Thankfully, I had to pick up my boyfriend from the airport, which me a good excuse not to watch.  (Also,  The Next Food Network Star was on and I’m addicted to that show.  It’s a complete train wreck when the contestants get all nervous in front of the judges and begin to flounder on camera. It’s so painful yet I can’t look away.  Hmmm, I guess it actually had a lot in common with the BBMAs …)

Anyhoo, here’s the Spark Notes version of the awards last night, which is a lot easier than sitting through three hours of lip syncing and bad fashion.

Big Winner of the Night:   Adele, of course.  She took home 12 awards and maintained her rightful nickname, Slaydele.

Surprise of the Night:  Carly Rae Jespen, singer of that annoying ass song, Call Me Maybe, is 26 years old.  Considering that everyone thought she was like 15, this was amazing.  And means I can now not feel so bad when I heard that song come on the radio for the third time in an hour  and think to myself “This bitch.”

Loser of the Night: The Audience. From all accounts, I’ve heard it was rather terrible and very much like Putting on the Lips. Except in that show, at least the audience was in on the joke that the entertainer was lip syncing and not trying to pass themselves off as a “REAL ARTISTE“

It’s gonna be a hell of a disco party in heaven this week.

After a long battle with colon and liver cancer, The Bee Gees Robin Gibb has died.  He was 62 years old..

The Bee Gees were made up of the Gibb brothers, including Robin, Barry, and Maurice.  They were born in England and raised in Australia.  Though they began their musical careers in the 60′s, it wasn’t until 1977 that the group’s fame took off.  The popularity of the movie Saturday Night Fever and its accompanying soundtrack – featuring Bee Gees hits, “Stayin Alive,” “Night Fever” “More Than a Woman,” “How Deep is Your Love,’  and “Jive Talkin’” – propelled them to the top of the charts.

On Thursday, Disco Queen Donna Summer passed away from cancer as well.  RIP sweet voices of disco.

Kristen  Wiig is by far the best part of Saturday Night Live every week and now she’s gone. It’s only been a pretty substantial and definite rumor so far that this would be Kristin’s last season on SNL, but alas – it was true. Kristen spent seven seasons on the show and it will not be the same next year when she’s gone.

Thankfully she has like six movies either filing or in pre-production so we’ll still get to see lots of her in the near future!

The Community  community was shaken up on Friday when it was announced that NBC (technically Sony Picture Televisions)  fired their creator, Dan Harmon reportedly due in part to a very public feud against he and Community actor, Chevy Chase.

Clearly the network has shown their alliances to Chevy Chase, even though he has a reputation of being very difficult to work with, because they canned the creator of one of their mildly popular shows over it. I would find that to be very insulting and intimidating if I were anyone else on that show – kiss Chevy’s ass or get fired. 

Harmon is now speaking out against NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt, who has been telling the media that although they had to let Harmon go, he would “expect Dan’s voice to be a part of this show.” Harmon is saying that not only did he find out he was fired when he heard a voicemail on his cell phone, but he’s also never told that anyone wanted him to stay on HIS OWN SHOW as an advisor. He went on further to explain that,

You may have read that I am technically ‘signed on,’ by default, to be an executive consulting something or other — which is a relatively standard protective clause for a creator in my position. Guys like me can’t actually just be shot and left in a ditch by Skynet, we’re still allowed to have a title on the things we create and ‘help out,’ like, I guess sharpening pencils and stuff.

Last week it was announced that NBC has moved the show to Fridays starting in the fall. They also moved the show Whitney to Friday. Typically, being moved to the Friday time slot is a sign of imminent cancelation, so poor Dan Harmon has been having a rough May. Maybe NBC is thinking that if the show is going to drown anyhow, then what does it matter if the man that created it is still actively involved – particularly if it preserves the happiness of Chevy Chase, who could easily go on to become TV gold (again) on another NBC show after this one is laid to rest.

Dan Harmon also created and wrote The Sarah Silverman Program, had life from 2007 to 2010 on Comedy Central.
