MTV was hoping their new reality show, “Buckwild”, which is based in rural West Virginia, would see as much success as the “Jersey Shore” did; but unfortunately the show is getting off to a terrible start and may have to be shut down before they can get through the first season.
It was announced at the beginning of February that the show was renewed for a second season; however taping has been halted after cast member, Shain “Gandee Candy” was found dead in a pick up truck today along with his Uncle David Gandee and a third person, Robert Myers. The truck was stuck in mud and it is being reported that the exhaust pipe was submerged under the mud, which may have caused the truck cabin to fill up with carbon monoxide and poison the guys inside.
The investigation is still ongoing but it is known that Shain and his uncle and Myers were supposed to go off-roading on Easter in the Sissonville area of West Virginia and were reported missing today after they did not return home and calls to their cell phones went straight to voice mail because they were in a bad cell service area. Another ATV rider was out riding around when he or she stumbled upon the truck in the mud.
On February 10, 2013, fellow “Buckwild” cast mate, Salwa Amin, was arrested for possession of Oxys. On February 15, 2013, Michael “Bluefoot” Burford was also arrested, but for a DUI. This show is clearly cursed.
MTV said in a statement,
We are shocked and saddened by the terrible news about Shain Gandee, and those involved in this tragic incident. We are waiting for more information but at this time, our main concern is for the Gandee family and their friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Shain had a magnetic personality, with a passion for life that touched everyone he met and we will miss him dearly.
Shain was only 21 years old.
