70th Annual Golden Globe Awards - Show

There weren’t very many surprises at last night’s Golden Globes, though I’m sure Ben Affleck is going to be clutching his Best Director Award to his chest as he pens a movie about revenge against an evil panel of people who fail to recognize brilliance behind the camera.  

Last night’s Golden Globe ceremony didn’t have too many surprises, but it did have some fantastic moments – specifically with hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who – surprising to no one – delivered several laughs.  Their opening monologue was hysterical and led the way for a fairly fast -paced show (anything has got to be better than the Oscars though, right/

Line of the night: “When it comes to torture, I trust the lady who spent three years married to James Cameron.” –  Amy Poehler, on the ‘controversy’ surrounding Zero Dark Thirty and the film’s director, Kathryn Bigelow.
