The new Miami Dolphins’ head coach, Joe Philbin, is really trying to start off with a solid, respectable, and respectful team because he and the Miami Dolphins’ organization announced yesterday that they have terminated their contract with Wide Receiver, Chad Johnson.
Philbin said on Monday that the organization’s decision to cut Chad was not a reaction to his Saturday arrest for head-butting his wife Evelyn Lozada (I call ‘bullshit’). Despite whether it was or it was not, the end result is the same: Chad has to face criminal charges for domestic violence, he may have to face divorce from his new bride, and now he has to try to save face and his diminishing career and find another team that will take him in.
As if this news and drama wasn’t bad enough, VH1 announced today that they would not air the new reality show that was supposed air in September and feature the newlyweds, Chad and Evelyn, in light of the Saturday arrest as well. The show was completed filmed and probably mostly edited and was going to be called “Ev and Ocho,” but that all dust in the wind because the network said,
Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series ‘Ev and Ocho’ from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it.
If Chad didn’t regret the head-butt before, he sure as shit is regretting it now!
Luckily for Evelyn, she’s still a part of VH1′s other reality show, “Basketball Wives.”
