Mariah Carey Talks Whitney Houston, Nick Cannon’s Health, on “Good Morning, America”
Mariah Carey appeared on Good Morning, America this am to promote Jenny Craig. During her interview with Robin Roberts, the two got on a topic of health, which naturally led to discussions regarding her husband Nick Cannon’s recent troubles.
When asked by Robin how Nick is, Mariah responded that he’s doing well, explaining “The best thing, I think, was the choice that he made to leave the radio show and just focus on “America’s Got Talent” and “Up All Night” which he just won an NAACP ACT Award.”
She also discussed the late singer Whitney Houston. The two became close after the recorded the Oscar-nominated When You Believe for the film, The Prince of Egypt. News of Whitney’s death struck Mariah so hard that she had canceled a Good Morning, America appearance that was originally scheduled for last week.
“We all loved her. We were all inspired by her, and we all loved her. May she rest in peace, and her legend’s gonna go on forever.”
