Madonna is PISSED at M.I.A!
M.I.A. has gone and made queen Madge mad.
The middle finger incident, which upstaged a pretty damn good half time perfomrance and became all anyone could talk about on Monday, did not sit well with Madonna, who was unaware it took place during the show. Madge appeared this morning on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show. Of course, she’s never been one to mince words, so she let her displeasure be known.
“I was really surprised. I didn’t know anything about it. I wasn’t happy about it. I understand it’s punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy and positivity; it seemed negative.”
“It’s such a teenager, irrelevant thing to do,” she said, then reiterated the atmosphere was peace. “What was the point?” Madonna asked. “It was just out of place.”
She’s right, it was really out of place, but honesty, I’m more upset by the fact that now we’re probably going to be stuck with aging ‘safe’ rockers for the next few years instead of great acts who may bring a little bit of controversy. Thanks, M.I.A.
Madonna also confirmed that her next single off MDNA is Girls Gone Wild. However, contrary to some rumors, she will not be collaborating with Britney Spears for the single. “It’s just me.”
