Katy Perry Gets 7th #1 with Part of Me, Will Guest Star on “Raising Hope”

Ms. Kitty Purry nabbed her 7th “Hot 100″ number one single with Part of Me.
The just-released single , which she performed at the 54th Grammy Awards, became only the 20th song to debut at number one in the Billboard’s 53-year-history!
Part of Me is the lead single from Katy’s album, Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection. Since the song is from the deluxe edition of the album and not the original release, it will not count toward her six #1 songs from Dream – a stat which tied her with Michael Jackson for most Hot 100 number 1′s from a single album. Jackson had previously accomplished that feat with Bad.
In addition to Part of Me topping the charts, Katy will also be making a guest appearance on an episode of Raising Hope. Entertainment Weekly reports Perry will play “Rikki”, a prison attendant who claims to be an old friend of Sabrina (Shannon Woodward).
Perry and Woodward are close friends in real life.
Katy said, ““A couple of weeks ago, I was home, just toasting up a frozen chicken fillet when Shannon called me up and asked if I wanted to do something ‘fun’ for a change and try out a guest role on her TV show. I thought, sure, I have nothing else to do, and I like chillin’ with my best friend!”
