Do Not Cut Adele Off! Adele Flips the Bird at Brit Awards

Who thought it was a good idea to try and get Queen Adele to wrap up her acceptance speech at Tuesday’s Brit Awards?  I mean, this is the woman who is pretty much running the music world right now, and she knows it like the HBIC she is.

Apparently, the Brit Award execs thought it was acceptable.  As Adele was picking up one of her several awards during the evening (natch), she was up at the mic saying, “”I am so proud to be British and to be flying the flag,” when show host James Corden cut her off to introduce Blur to the stage.

The fuck?

Adele had the same reaction to get cutting off by Corden as I do when I get cut off by yet another horrible south Florida driver - her middle finger raised in a one-finger salute.

Who can blame her?  I mean, I know how I feel when some jackhole rams their car into my lane, as apparently my vehicle is wearing the invisible paint and the other driver doesn’t know that two objects can not occupy the same space at the same time. Flipping the bird is a necessary physical way to release some of the rage I am feeling and a preferred consequence to what I really want to do, which is usually ram my car into their ass end.

And that’s only while driving on 95.

Now I imagine that I’m Adele and I’m letting my home country know how proud I am to be BRIT – REPRESENT! at the Brit Awards and them bitches cut me off? Oh hell no.

According to the BBC, Adele isn’t trying to sugarcoat her reaction, either. I” flung the middle finger. That was for the suits at the Brit Awards, not my fans,” she said. ”I’m sorry if I offended anyone but the suits offended me.”

Girl, way to own it! If possible, this made me love you even more!

Now, since M.I.A. also recently flipped the bird (you remember that whole Super Bowl incident, right?), people are of course comparing the two – unfairly, I think.  M.I.A’s gesture was unprovoked.  Adele’s? Totally justified.
