"Austin Powers" Actor Suspected of Another Crime

Screen shot from Jospeh Hyungmin Son's role in "Austin Powers"
Joseph Hyungmin Son played Dr. Evil’s sidekick henchman, Random Task in the first “Austin Powers” movie. Son should have watched his p’s and q’s back in the day because he missed out on a role in the new “Austin Powers 4″, which was announced.
Joseph Hyungmin Son was charged in October 2008 by the State of California for his participation in the Christmas Eve gang rape of a woman who was out walking her dog in 1990.
Son was initially charged with five counts of rape, two counts of forcible sodomy, two counts of sodomy in concert by force, seven counts of forcible oral copulation, and one count of sexual penetration by a foreign object by force, which are all felonies. (YUCK!!!)

However, at the time of his trial (August 2011) all that remained was a charge of conspiracy to commit murder and torture, because the statute of limitations had run on many of the other charges. He was ultimately found guilty of the torture count on August 25, 2011 and was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole.
Now behind bars, Son is suspected in the homicide/death of his 50 year-old cellmate who was found dead on Monday. The cellmate was only serving a two year sentence for failing to register as a sex offender in California.
