Manny Ramirez Arrested for Battery
Ugh, what a douche.
Former Boston Red Sox and LA Dodgers star Manny Ramirez was arrested last night in South Florida on charges of domestic battery.
Monday evening, Ramirez allegedly slapped his wife, Juliana, during an argument, at which point she hit her head on the headboard of their bed.
Fearing the argument may further escalate, Ramirez’s wife called the police.
Ramirez claims that he did not hit his wife, but that she hit her head on the headboard when he grabbed her shoulders and “shrugged” her.
According to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, Ramirez was booked and charged with one count of battery. The police report notes that his wife had swelling on the left side of her face, and a contusion on the back of her head.
