Joe Jonas Dumped Demi Lovato, but Not Over the Phone.
Rumors were swirling all over the web today that Joe Jonas had gotten his father to dump now ex-girlfriend and fellow Disney star, Demi Lovato, over the phone. They two dated for only a few months before things went sour.
Joe Jonas, 20, released a statement earlier today saying ‘”I realize over the time we have shared together that I feel I care more about our friendship right now. It was my choice to breakup, but I love her as a friend. She’s been there for me when I needed her. I will continue to be her friend and be there for her.” In response, Lovato, 17, tweeted “There are so many crazy rumors flying around today, Joe and I did split, but it wasn’t over the phone. Things didn’t work out but we’ll remain friends.”
The two better be on good terms because they are slated to perform together during this summer on a concert tour. There’s nothing like seeing your ex-boyfriend surrounded by teenage groupies.
